A Long Way From Anything

A guy trying to find a home that never was.

Plans

Okay, since life is bearing down on me (graduation is ticking closer and closer), it seems as if I have to make some sort of plans. I've recently been talking to the Air Force about going into their commissioning program. The really nice thing about the AF is that they pull a standard 7 to 4 work day (definitely UNLIKE the Corps and the Army). So that's that, right? Sadly, no. Their next selection board meets in August. So, if nothing else, I have a few months to kill. On top of this, OTS wouldn't start until sometime in November. So I have eight months to kill. Gah. So now I'm looking for a job after I graduate. I'll be a moderately technically proficient guy (slight Computer programming skills, good people skills, 60 words per minute, excellent communication skills) with an absolutely worthless degree looking for work in an economy that's currently bleeding jobs to Asia like a victim of Jack the Ripper. Needless to say, I'm worried.
